The finest drink

I am the first to admit that I have an unrefined palate when it comes to alcohol. To my neophytic taste buds the difference between Grange and goon is not too readily apparent. However, the one drink that will always put me in raptures is Remy Martin Louis XIII. I am hardly what one would call a cognac connoisseur but on the two occasions I have had the privilege to indulge in this beverage I have been quite simply awe struck at its smoothness and richness. The words to describe it adequately are not even in my lexicon so I will merely offer the simple suggestion to have it served in a wine glass and not a shot glass. It does make a big difference.

CN Tower

Miscellaneous photos from lunch at the CN Tower (Toronto's equivalent of Centrepoint Tower). Pretty much the same deal as back home except the food is worse.

Me...try as we might we couldn't get the headshot and the street shot through the glass. I know I know should have focused on the street shot.

From the tower we could just make out Rochester, New York. We had a smoggy day apparently on a clear day you can see all the way out to Niagara falls.

On the way through the tower you have to walk through what resembles a metal detector...except you are sprayed by air as you walk through. Fearing infection by some pathological agent I doubled back and said "What exactly was that?". Apparently it was an explosives check. While waiting for the elevator I saw a cute girl there and asked her "Hey did you get sprayed on the way through. What was that stuff?". Had a bit of rapport going but soon after the boyfriend showed up. So as to not be impolite I continued talking for the obligatory 60 seconds...before going back to dreaming about Adriana Lima showing up in this outfit on my doorstep for Halloween.
